The Illinois Federation of Business Women’s Clubs, Inc. (IFBWC) is very committed to education. Education for all women is one of the primary goals that IFBWC has supported since its existence. IFBWC views a lack of education as the primary barrier to self-sufficiency and improved lives. As a result of that commitment, when you investigate the organization as a whole or as one of the locals, you will find that in almost all cases, IFBWC has given financial assistance to women that are interested in furthering their education. We are very proud of that fact, and we will continue as an organization to support higher education for all women.
In 2000, the BPW Illinois Educational Foundation, a 501(c)3, was organized by IFBW for the purpose of exclusively promoting, encouraging or fostering charitable, educational, and scientific purposes or activities. We are able to provide education and training, in the form of workshops, speakers, and classes for self-improvement, to assist individuals in obtaining enhanced employment and employment opportunities, including but not limited to the provision of college and post-graduate scholarships to qualified working women.
