Hello Ladies! I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to reach out to you and let you know how excited I am for our annual Leadership meeting and our membership recruitment party that night. This is going to be a great event for all!
We will have our Leadership meeting at Cedarhurst Museum in Mt. Vernon IL on Saturday July 31st at 10 AM. We will have this gorgeous venue to ourselves and have a guided tour of the grounds and sculpture park immediately following our meeting. This years key note speaker is Tammy Henry, she is really a phenomenal speaker and she owns and operates a womens leadership organization and travels internationally to speaking engagements! I am so excited to have her speak to us! We will also be presenting our 2 Outstanding Working Woman of Illinois recipients with their awards. Also one of our winners Monte Jo Clark will also be catering our lunch that day. We will have fun and door prizes to sweeten the day! I am truly looking forward to seeing you all that day! I also hope that you would consider bringing a friend and potential new member with you!
That evening from 6 PM to 9 PM we will have a membership recruitment party/ Ladies Night out here at the Granada also in Mount Vernon. It is a beautifully renovated old theater. We will have dinner, a cash bar, a chance to show off our fabulous cocktail attire, and be entertained by a live band! We will have the opportunity to celebrate with our OWWI winners and spend some time with each other that we missed out on during Covid, and hopefully get to know some potential new members. I really would like you to bring a guest so they can meet ladies from all across the state and possibly find where they can fit into our great organization.
Because we are having the separate event that night with a cash bar and we will want time to freshen up and change our clothes in between events, some of you will probably want to get a hotel room. Therefore the leadership registration fee will only be $20, and the party that night will be of no cost to you except for the cash bar. I do ask however when you register please let us know if you will be bringing a guest so that I can give an accurate count to the caterer. I have a block of rooms set aside at the Holiday Inn here for $119 a night if you tell them you are with IFBWC when booking. I truly hope you all are as excited as I am to be getting together again.
